Getting back to business.

You are probably wondering why you are still unable to access Dental Care? After Boris’s recent announcement it would seem that that dentistry should be back on track. However, we cannot go back to work until our governing body tells us we can.

We are hoping to get an official green light to reopen in June. If you have an appointment scheduled before, this will be cancelled and we will call you to reschedule once we reopen.

We are starting a priority list so please can you email us on [email protected] If you can subject the email.  PLEASE ADD ME TO THE LIST.   It would really help us if you could state your issue and then we can start to build up a diary.  Depending on the issue, we may call you or organise a video consult.  This will allow us to allocate the correct time needed for you.

We have also recently added a virtual consult link to our webpage.  Please follow the instructions and we will give you an idea of what treatment would be involved.  This clever little bit of software will allow us to assess photographs of your teeth and we can also give you an outline of treatment needed.  This is free of charge and would reduce your need for an unnecessary journey.  This option is open to existing and new patients.

When we get to back to work

Two days before your appointment you will be sent a link, via email.  This is to your own patient portal.  It will contain all your documents that will need to be completed before your appointment. Instructions on how to use this will be sent to you in due course.

AS YOU CAN SEE NOW MORE THAN EVER WE NEED YOUR EMAIL ADDRESSES. SO IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED THIS BY POST.  PLEASE CAN YOU EMAIL YOUR ADDRESS TO [email protected] Thank you.

The day before your appointment. We will call you to discuss our new practice protocols and to check you are fit and well.

We are going to stagger our diary to avoid everyone arriving at the same times. We are also going run dedicated clinics to see vulnerable and at risk patients at certain times.  We are also going to leave sometime between patients, to clean the air with air purifiers and allow us to clean and tidy the environment before the next patient’s arrival.

We hope you will see your usual Dentist or Hygienist. However, due to the changes in clinical settings and this may not be possible. Therefore, I will introduce all of us, so you can feel at ease should you see someone new to you.

Damian– The original.  Our silver fox has been drilling teeth in Brentwood, since qualifying just after the last pandemic!!!  Ethical and informative care are paramount for Damian, meaning he has a dedicated bunch of patients.

Me- Genevieve.  I have recently taken over as practice principal (not the easiest time!) , which basically means I pay all the bills!  I think people assume I only make teeth look prettier and faces smoother.  Although I adore this, I am also a general dentist and it is a great day when helping someone with their dental problem and relieving their pain.  That’s what Dentistry is about after all, and why we are all so desperate to get back to work.

Anish–  He is a lovely young man and so caring to his patients.  He is constantly updating his (and our) skills with his energy and search for knowledge.  He is a very good dentist and invisalign provider and a breath of fresh air.

Gan– Usually our Endodontist, Gan has offered to see some patients to help us with the backlog of dental issues.  He has been a good friend of mine for years.  He is also extremely well qualified and lectures at the Royal London Hospital.

Eva– If you are really lucky you may see Eva our Periodontist, usually fixing the nation’s gums.  Eva is a specialist Dentist, who may also see you to help you if you have dental pain.

So as you can hopefully see, when we get back to business you are in good hands.

As always, please stay in touch, please review us on google and please like our Facebook page.

There is lovely video on here, if you want to see our faces.

Stay well, Stay Alert (!) and Stay off the Sugar.
