- How do I know which appointment to book?
There are currently 3 different Hygienist appointments available to book online.
Hygienist with Oral Health Screening – This is a 40 minute appointment. A full gum health assessment will be carried out and appropriate Oral Hygiene treatment prescribed. You will have your teeth scaled either with hand scalers or an ultra sonic scaler or both. Your teeth will be polished and you will be given Oral health advise to carry out at home. The cost of this appointment is £75
Hygienist with Air Abrasion – This is a 40 minute appointment. A full gum health assessment will be carried out and appropriate Oral Hygiene treatment prescribed. You will have your teeth scaled either with hand scalers or an ultra sonic scaler or both. You will be given Oral health advise to carry out at home. Air abrasion is a drill free technique, which can be performed by your hygienist/therapist. It works through a combination of air, sodium bi-carbonate and a jet of water to remove external staining caused through everyday things such as tea, coffee, red wine and smoking. The cost of this appointment is £95
Hygienist with Dental Review – This is a 45 minute appointment. A full gum health assessment will be carried out and appropriate Oral Hygiene treatment prescribed. You will have your teeth scaled either with hand scalers or an ultra sonic scaler or both. Your teeth will be polished and you will be given Oral health advise to carry out at home. You will also have a full mouth Examination by your Dentist. The Dentist will come in to this appointment to carry out the inspection and discuss any concerns you may have about your teeth. The cost of this appointment is £100. (Excluding X-rays if needed)
2. Which Hygienist will I see?
We have 5 Hygienists/Therapists here at Crown Street Dental Group. Although every single one of our Hygienists/Therapists are wonderful! We are aware that the majority of our patients like to stick to the same one. Please see below the Days which each Hygienist works to help you when deciding what day to book.
Mandy Driscoll – Monday Afternoons
Jennie Mathew – Tuesdays
Angie Michelson – Wednesdays and occasionally Monday Mornings
Danielle Bird – Thursdays
Natalie Ladosu – Every other Friday
3. Do I have to book online?
No, You do not have to use the online booking system and if you would prefer to make the appointment over the phone or via email you can. Initially, after re-opening post Lock Down, our phone lines were extremely busy. This may still be the case on occasions but we will always pick up messages and emails and get back to you as soon as we can.
